Artists’ Union is a project formed by a group of artists and arts workers to improve the working conditions of artists living or working in Australia.
We seek to encourage collective action in the arts which will promote transparency, protect the rights of artists and arts workers, and ensure that they are adequately remunerated for the work that they do.
We are presently in the process of creating and assembling resources to promote dialogue in this area, encourage solidarity between artists, and support collective action.
Through these initiatives we are building towards the establishment of a union which can support the interests of artists at various levels in the sector.
